The registration for the Island Chill Suva Marathon is closed with more than one thousand runners expected to take part on Saturday.

80 runner have been registered in the full marathon of 42.2 kilometers, 110 runners in the half marathon race of 21.1 kilometers and 440 runners in the team marathon.

Meanwhile, the registration for the individual fun run at 8am is still open.

The competition starts at 5.30am.
