SBW enjoying 7s experience

New Zealand 7s rep, Sonny Bill Williams enjoyed his first official hit-out in the abbreviated code during the Wellington 7s last weekend.

The 30 year old dual code international made his 7s debut in Wellington and is ready to lift up his game to another level in the Sydney 7s this week.

“It’s a great learning experience. Just grateful for the experience to be learning 7s. I know I got a lot to work on and I’ve got to get my defence systems right.”

William’s close friend and Wallabies rep, Quade Cooper will make his debut for Australia in the Sydney 7s this weekend.

New Zealand are currently third on the World Series points with 47 points.

South Africa leads the series with 54 points while Fiji sits in second spot with 52.

Fiji is pooled with Argentina, Samoa and France in the Sydney 7s, which will be held on Saturday and Sunday and you can watch it live on FBC TV.
