The Fiji Police Force is warning members of the public that it is an offence to harbour escapees.

Chief Operations Officer ACP Rusiate Tudravu says the warning comes as the search continues for escapee Sakiusa Basa Viaviaturaga.

In a statement Tudravu said if anyone has had contact or is aiding Viaviaturaga escape lawful custody, the Police will not tolerate this and will ensure the law is enforced on anyone assisting him.

For those who may have knowledge of where he may be staying is kindly requested to call 919 or your nearest Police Station.

He added that the Fiji Police Force wants to ensure those responsible for these serious offences are brought to justice and teams are working tirelessly to ensure this happens.
