Police Commissioner Major general Ben Groenewald has revealed to FBC News a child was in fact sexually assaulted at a school in Suva by an unknown man during school hours on Thursday.

The head of the Fiji Police Force assures the case will be investigated properly and he is calling for a concerted effort in seeing that these incidents do not happen again.

The latest incident that happened is an incident where this lady was sexually assaulted on the playground of the school, it has been confirmed by my chief investigating officer that a criminal case has been opened and the case is under investigation.

The Commissioner is also worried concerned about the number of sexual and violent attacks on young girls in the country.
