Education Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy has confirmed the Ministry is looking into allegations that their emailing system has been tampered with.

Reddy says they are aware that someone is allegedly circulating posts to schools in an email criticizing the government about the 2013 constitution.

‘’We are aware of it. We have asked the IT system to investigate who is behind the circulation and rather unfortunate we don’t want such baseless and incorrect email’s being circulated in our school system and whoever is responsible for that will be taken to task’’.

It’s alleged that Mereoni (Oni) Kirwin, an Australian- based Fijian circulated the post to nine hundred schools in Fiji using the Education Ministry’s email system.

Kirwin is a person of interest in police investigations into sedition-related activities.
