The Fiji Bureau of Statistics has completed its rebasing of the Gross Domestic Product series to the year 2011.

Re-basing of real GDP means adopting a new set of reference prices to value output in each year

The Manufacturing Industry contributed 14.1 percent to the total net output of the economy.

The Wholesale and Retail trade ranks second with 11.7 compared to 13.2 percent in 2008.

The Financial and Insurance industry contributed 9.2 percent towards the GDP.

Agriculture contributed 8.2 percent while Public Administration and defence contributed 7.6 percent of the GDP.

Other industries included real estate activities, arts, entertainment and recreation activities.
