2800 marijuana plants uprooted in past 12 months

The Fiji Police Force has uprooted 2800 marijuana plants in the last 12 months.
This was revealed in parliament by Defence Minister Timoci Natuva who says there have been successful operations around the country.

The Defense Ministry is working with the Fiji Police Force to educate farmers on alternative.

‘’The strategic plan of what we are doing at the moment to have a database of what is required in each individual sector in each individual place or provinces has been done at the moment in order to identify alternative crops and other ways of getting money from the general public’’.

Natuva says they’re working with the New Zealand and Australian Police to stop marijuana from entering their shores.
