Fiji’s High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea Esala Teleni has presented his credentials to the Governor General of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, Sir Michael Ogio.

The courtesy call was also an opportunity for Teleni and Sir Michael to discuss the special relationship between the two countries and strengthen cooperation in various areas.

Sir Michael says the relations between Fiji and Papua New Guinea started from the arrival of the early missionaries in 1876.
