The Fiji Scouts Association has achieved its target of increasing membership to 10,000 by the year 2020, thanks to support from Association members.

Opening the Scouts Annual General Meeting, Chief Scout Fiji President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau reminded members to maintain their responsibility to the nation.

_"Our gathering here gives me the opportunity to express my appreciation for the support you have willingly given over the past years to maintain the high interest that scouting enjoys in Fiji.

By your active support you have made scouting an exciting and worthwhile pursuit."_

Ratu Epeli has also urged scouts to reach out to the youths of Fiji and to contribute to making a difference in their lives.
