Wini shines in quarterfinal win

Young forward Josaia Wini scored four tries to help the Vodafone Fiji 7s side beat Japan 41-5 and progress to the Cup semifinals of the Tokyo 7s.

The 21 year old displayed sheer strength and speed to score three times in the first spell and another five pointer in the second half.

Fiji’s other tries came from Semi Kunatani, Samisoni Viriviri and Savenaca Rawaca.

Fiji will now meet the winner of the second quarterfinal between South Africa and Scotland.

Following this match, France meets England at 3:04pm and New Zealand takes on Canada at 3:26pm.

The Cup semi-finals will begin at 6:22pm and the final will kick-off at 9pm.
