Fijian forwards need to perform

June 12, 2014 6:53 pm

The Vodafone Flying Fijians forwards need to up their game, if the star studded backline is wreak havoc against Tonga tomorrow.

The two teams clash in the Pacific Nations Cup in Lautoka and Fijian forwards coach, Allan Muir, has been working with his pack the whole week.

Muir says the forward play didn’t really go according to plan during the 25-14 win over Italy last weekend.

“If your upfront play is not accurate then you can’t get your moves going into play and can’t get any shape and any patterns in your play. So we have been doing work in and around our units so hopefully we get to see good outcomes from that this week.”

The Fiji-Tonga match starts at 3pm at Churchill Park and you can catch a live commentary on BULA FM with the voice of rugby, Graham Eden.
