Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Jone Usamate is urging youths and innovators to share knowledge and ideas on renewable energy.

Speaking at the International Symposium On Renewable Energy, Environment And Climate Change 2019 in Nadi yesterday, Usamate highlighted that a lot of work has been taking place to make the achievement of these targets a reality.

He says there is in Fiji a strong emphasis now on hydroelectricity, solar and continuing progress on the work on biofuels.

The symposium will be looking into areas such as Renewable Energy, Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, Energy Efficiency, Modelling and Forecasting in Energy and Environment amongst others.
