Injured Vakurunabili to be cleared today

November 20, 2018 4:04 pm

Fiji Airways men’s 7s forward Josua Vakurunabili is expected to be cleared off an injury he sustained in the Oceania tournament and will be named for the opening round of World Rugby sevens series next week.

Fiji 7s Coach Gareth Baber says Vakurunabili, skipper Kalione Nasoko, and Sevuloni Mocenacagi are few of the experienced forwards who will make it into the final 13 member squad.

“{Josua} Vakurunabili is injured as well at the moment with an ankle problem and we are trying to move him through. With Paual Dranisinukula out, there is obviously some experience lost but I’m confident with the players that are taking up that positions and there is potential for one or two to insert themselves in the squad.”
