The National Fire Authority has started its investigations into a top flat of a triple story concrete building in Toorak that caught fire early this morning.

The incident occurred at the Vunivalu road at around 8am.

Fire fighters quickly responded to the emergency call and averted a major fire disaster in the area.

No one was injured by the fire.
