The Fiji Airways Drua team’s dream run in its maiden National Rugby Championship season has come to an end.
The Senirusi Seruvakula coached side lost 57-21 to Queensland Country in the second semi-final this afternoon.
Queensland were favorites going into the match and proved that by scoring four tries in the first spell to lead 26-7 at half-time.
Vesi Rarawa scored Fiji’s only try in the first spell in which Kalivati Tawake was sin binned for throwing a punch at James Slipper.
Rarawa added two more tries in the second half but it wasn’t enough as the home side scored five more of their own.
Eroni Mawi was sin binned in the second spell for a dangerous tackle.
Eto Nabuli was on the score-sheet for Queensland scoring their last try.
Queensland will play Canberra Vikings in the final this Saturday.
