A total of ninety five evacuation centres were activated as of yesterday.

Director Dismac Akapusi Tuifagalele confirms that the majority of evacuees are sheltering in the Central division.

“For Northern revised to twenty one with 54, western division eight current evacuation centres that are still open with 170 evacuee’s .For the Central Division 20 evacuation centres still open with 564 occupation so the total number of evacuation centres that are open has been revised to ninety five and the current population in the evacuation centres revised to 1716.”

Evacuees are being advised not to drink grog or liquor in the evacuation centers.
