Journalists from around the country have come together to form the Fijian Sports Journalists’ Association.
In a meeting held in Suva today, sports reporters, editors and heads of local media organizations came together to get the ball rolling.
The association will be responsible for looking after the interests of the sports journalists from around the country, while working closely with Fijian Media Association and ONOC.
The interim members elected today, sees Indra Singh of FBC being the interim president.
Vashneel Prasad from Fiji Television is the interim secretary and Fiji Sun’s Anasalini Ratuva is the interim treasurer.
The other members of the interim committee come from FBC, Fiji Television, Fiji Sun, Fiji Times, Communications Fiji Limited and Teivovo.
