Work on the new Ba Hospital will begin in October.

While speaking at the official foundation laying for the new Ba hospital, Assistant Health Minister Veena Bhatnagar says the new hospital will address the needs of the growing population not only in Ba but also in the neighbouring districts as well.

The new state of art medical facility is expected to serve approximately 140 000 Fijians.

Bhatnagar says it will be a bridge between Tavua and Rakiraki Sub divisional Hospitals and Lautoka Hospital.
