Vodafone Fiji Bati will not take the Kiwis lightly

November 15, 2017 3:33 pm

The Vodafone Fiji Bati players says they have not lost respect for New Zealand as the two gear up for the Rugby League World Cup quarter-final on Saturday.

The Kiwis lost 28-22 to Tonga in the upset of the tournament last Saturday, but the Bati say that was a result, which is now history.

Bati wing, Marcelo Montoya says they won’t take the Kiwis lightly but at the same time want to make the last four.

“New Zealand is a very world class side and they got a lot of good players so it’s going to be a tough chance for us but we are looking forward to it.”

The Bati takes on New Zealand at 7.30pm at Westpac Stadium in Wellington.
