Flying Fijians forward Peni Ravai

Being one of the six props currently fighting for a spot in the Rugby World Cup, Flying Fijians forward Peni Ravai knows the tough challenge that lies ahead.

Ravai says that competition within that team has never been tougher as players will all want to represent their country in Japan.

He adds that this is a motivating factor for him as he is looking to don the national jumper one more time to the Rugby World Cup.

“Competition has toughened especially for us props we have to work really hard to be chosen for the RWC…”

Flying Fijians coach John McKee earlier revealed that only 5 props will be going the World Cup.

Ravai is the first and only international prop who has played in the World Sevens Series.
