Fiji to host Oceania Rugby Womens Championship

September 13, 2016 5:20 pm

The inaugural Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship will be hosted by the Fiji Rugby Union in Suva at ANZ Stadium on the 5th of November.

The absence of a regional women’s fifteens pathway, and the need to determine an Oceania qualifier for the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup has necessitated the introduction of the Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship in 2016.

This year’s Championship will be contested between host union Fiji and Papua New Guinea, with Australia and New Zealand having already qualified from the 2013 WRWC.
