Two families lost their homes in separate fire incidents along the Suva Lami corridor this morning.

According to National Fire Authority they attended two house fire incidents at Mukta Ben Road in Suva and Qauia Settlement in Lami.

NFA says three bedroom corrugated iron and timber house was destroyed in a fire which started around 5am.

The Fire Team used deliveries of water from the fire trucks to extinguish the fire.

In another incident, at Qauia Settlement in Lami a fire which is believed to have started before 9am today destroyed a three bedroom corrugated iron and timber house.

No one was injured.

Investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fires.
