March 27, 2013 1:13 am

There is no reason for Fiji to have a vice president.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama made the statement at a talk back show on Gold FM today in reference to contents in the draft constitution.

“We have not had a vice president since 2007, the government has not broken down. There is no need to have a vice president since in the president’s absence the chief justice can do the work.”
