A heavy rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and the Lau group.

Fiji Meteorology Director, Ravin Kumar says this rain is expected to ease by tomorrow.

“However, isolated heavy force is still likely in these areas and heavy rain warning is anticipated to be cancelled later tonight. The local heavy falls can lead to flash flooding in these areas as the ground remain very saturated.”

Kumar says people can expect fine weather later in the week.

However, he adds a flood warning remains in force for small streams and low lying areas of Vanua Levu, Taveuni, the Lau group, Rewa bridge and downstream of Nausori town.
