The Fiji Red Cross Society has identified crucial areas that still need urgent attention as part of its TC Winston post rehabilitation.

Director General, Filipe Nainoca, says they’ve already helped thousands of people following the natural disaster last year, but more people need assistance.

“We have identified the areas we need to work in, this is in community development, in continuing our water and sanitation which includes rain water harvesting, we will continue to build the shelters as sample homes, this area will continue and of course communal and personal toilets in the communities.”

Nainoca says their volunteers are still in the field and will help the affected communities until December.
