The Social Welfare Ministry and the UNICEF Pacific launched its child facilitation package today.
The package known as “Children are a precious gift from God facilitation” had a total cost value of $100,000.
Social Welfare Permanent Secretary – Govind Sami says the package has been designed in such a way which can be used by the Education Ministry as a manual.
“The cost includes all the consultations we have had throughout the country…..working on the package and going around to all the communities …using the facilitation package and trialing it out with the cpo’s in the district. It has been a long process that is why it has taken this long to produce it.”
Sami says it will generate positive impact around the lives of children around the country.
He says technical and financial support was provided by the UNICEF.
