Teen to face court over statue damage

A 19-year-old male alleged to have damaged a religious statue in Naduna last week has been charged.

He faces one count of damaging property and will appear in the Labasa Magistrates Court today.

The accused is alleged to have removed the statue from a prayer house in Naduna, Labasa.

The idol was later found damaged in the complainant’s compound.
