The National Federation Party had failed to produce relevant documents that led to the termination of their request to hold a protest march.

The march was intended to be carried out in Suva tomorrow.

NFP only lodged the request last Wednesday with the Divisional Police Commander South.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the documents could have been vetted if all requirements were filed.

“Their  application has been rejected because there were several documents that were not provided or were not submitted with the initial application which why it was rejected as such and the Divisional Police Commander South has been leasing with the application and that’s the reason why.”

The application submitted to Police was for a permit to allow a maximum of 5,000 NFP members, supporters, and well-wishers to march through Suva City.
