Employment Minister Semi Koroilavesau confirmed to FBC News that the new agreement is expected to increase the number of Fijians involved in the program.

Koroilavesau adds in addition to signing a new agreement, the Australian representative will witness first-hand the recruitment process followed by the Fijian government to fill their ready-work pool.

To date, 109 Fijians are working in Australia under the seasonal workers scheme with one employer.
