July 10, 2020 6:08 am

The Lautoka rugby side will be banking on the same squad from last year to see them through, this year’s Skipper Cup Competition.

Coach Vereniki Tukana says after last featuring in the competition in 2015, the side knows how tough the teams will be.

“I trust in these players, they are the same players from last year and we are just trying to adapt to the systems we have put in place. We are not taking them out or giving in new structures but we are just trying to perfect what we did last year.”

He says the first match against Naitasiri will be an uphill battle however they will give it their all.

Lautoka were training at the Churchill Park ground yesterday with former Flying Fijians player Waisea Luveniyali heavily involved with the side.

Lautoka face Naitasiri on the 25th of this month.
