Rabbitohs beat Manly 32-26

September 21, 2019 5:43 am

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have made it to an NRL preliminary final this season after they edged the Manly Sea Eagles 32-26.

It was a semi-final without a great deal of defence being played, but one with multiple momentum swings, lead changes, a trio of sin bins and ten tries across the two sides.

The Rabbitohs made a fast start and at one point, looked like they were going to kick away with a one-sided victory, but it turned out to be anything but that.

The trademark grit and determination which has pushed Manly through the season was apparent after they fell to ten-nothing down in the early part of the game on the back of tries to Alex Johnston and Cody Walker, who burst through a gap in the line.

Meanwhile in another semifinal tonight, the Storm take on the Eels at 9.50pm.
