English Premier Rugby club Bristol Bears are said to be interested in signing Flying Fijians Number 8 Viliame Mata.
It is understood that Bristol’s Director of Rugby, Pat Lam, is showing keen interest in signing the 32-year-old powerhouse from Scottish club Edinburgh.
Mata, who is widely regarded as one of the best Number 8’s in the game, currently commands a significant 450,000 pound salary, making him one of the highest-paid players in Scottish rugby.

The 2016 Olympic Games 7s gold medallist is a cult hero in the capital, having become the first non-Scotland-qualified player to reach 100 appearances for Edinburgh last year.
Bristol Bears have three Fiji-born players in their current roster, including Kalaveti Ravouvou, Ratu Siva Naulago and French international Virimi Vakatawa.
