Sagone wins three gold medals

15-year-old Ulina Sagone has won three gold medals at the Oceania Weightlifting Championships currently underway in Brisbane.

Sagone won gold in the Oceania Youth Champs, Oceania Junior Champs and Oceania Senior Champs.

In the process she became the Oceania Open Champion for 2013.

She lifted a total of 110 Kg, with a 48Kg for snatch and 62Kg for clean & jerk.
This was seven kilograms ahead of the silver medalist and other competitors from Australia, New Zealand, PNG and Marshall Islands.
Sagone is the sole competitor from Fiji at the championships and is been accompanied by National Coach, Joe Vueti.

She is one of the targeted athletes preparing for the Youth Olympic Games, in Nanjing, China in 2014.
