The Maritime Safety Authority says only emergency evacuation runs will be done as required.

MSAF has stressed that all shipmasters, ship owners and ship agents for foreign and local ships, pilots, port management companies/operators, marinas and yacht clubs must take necessary precautions in light of the approaching Tropical Sarai.

MSAF adds all small boat owners must also take necessary precautionary measures and secure their boats.

Shipowners have been urged to provide all the necessary support to their masters and exercise good judgment to ensure the ships are kept safe during the passing of the Tropical Cyclone.
