A 48-year-old man has been charged with the alleged murder of his 77-year-old father at his Bara Settlement home in Sigatoka earlier this month.

The accused had initially reported discovering his father lying motionless with visible injuries in their home.

The accused has been charged with one count of murder and will be produced at the Sigatoka Magistrates Court today.
