Flood alert remains in force

A flood alert remain in force for all low lying areas, small streams and areas adjacent to the Waimanu and Naqali stations.

The Fiji Meteorological Office in a statement revealed that levels at the Waimanu station was 2.89m at 2.00pm which is 1.11m below alert level and decreasing.

MET says a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remain slow moving over the northern parts of the group.
It is expected to intensify and affects most parts of the group from this afternoon.

Tide height is schedule for 4.53pm.
