Darold Kakasi is set to add more firepower to the 4R Electrical Lautoka FC side at this year’s FMF Inter-District Championship.
The 26-year-old Solomon Islander has joined the Sugar City outfit for the upcoming tournament, and the club is confident he will make a strong impact.
Kakasi has already proven his ability in futsal competitions, where his speed, creativity and winning mentality have stood out—qualities Lautoka believe will be a major boost to their campaign.
Also rejoining the squad is national senior team defender, Sterling Vasconcellos.
The 2024 Young Footballer of the Year has returned with valuable experience from his stint with New Zealand club, Eastern Suburbs and will be one to watch throughout the competition.
Lautoka FC has been drawn into Group B, alongside Nadi FC, Suva FC and Labasa FC.
They will open their campaign against Suva next Tuesday at 6pm at Govind Park in Ba.
