Fiji born Blues winger Emoni Narawa can’t wait to make his Super Rugby debut.

Last week the 20-year-old featured for the Blues against the Chiefs in the pre-season match.

Narawa was part of the Queen Victoria School side coached by the late Elemaca ‘Macho’ Ravulo that won the Deans title in 2016.

That win was a special one for the side after players were put in different schools as QVS was badly damaged by Tropical Cyclone Winston.

After leaving QVS, Narawa joined Hamilton Boys High School in New Zealand and has failed to disappoint until now.

He featured strongly for Bay of Plenty in 2018 and last year in the Mitre 10 Cup.

Narawa who can play on the wing and fullback says it doesn’t matter which position he plays as long as he can have some Super Rugby game time.

‘Good to have a run around with the boys but yeah it was good fun, I don’t mind as long as I get on the field’.

Other players with links to Fiji in the 2020 Blues Super Rugby squad includes Hoskins Sotutu and former Fiji under 20 prop Alex Hodgeman.

The Blues will open the Super Rugby season with the Chiefs at 6:05pm next Friday.
