Tournament coordinator Tomasi Nawaciono is calling on people in and around Suva to visit Albert Park tomorrow and witness grassroots cricket, as players from the Lau Group and other maritime islands take part in the competition.

The 2026 Cricket Fiji Easter Competition has been underway at the venue since Wednesday and will conclude on Saturday.

Nawaciono said the players have travelled long distances and invested significant time, energy, and resources to compete in the tournament, and would greatly appreciate the support of those able to attend.

He also thanked all participating teams for their preparation in the weeks leading up to the event and wished them well for the remainder of the competition.

Nawaciono added that he has been particularly impressed with teams from the Lau Group, including Moce and Namuka.
