The bail hearing for former Suva Lawyer Shazran Abdul Lateef will be heard on Friday.

Lateef has filed a bail application and requested the Suva Magistrates Court that he be granted a medical order to see a doctor.

The request was approved and a blood test will be done soon. The findings of the report will be handed to the court.

Lateef has been charged with being in possession of illicit drugs for the fifth time. He was arrested following a raid at his house in Nailuva Road, Suva on the 14th of last month.

Lateef was allegedly found with white substances weighing point zero six three grams which were later tested positive for methamphetamine and dried leaves tested positive for marijuana.

His bail was previously denied as he has other pending matters of similar nature before the court.

The case will be recalled on Friday.
