Former operations Manager of Fiji Sports Council Timoci Naleba has been issued a bench warrant after he failed to appear in court today.

Naleba has been ordered to pay $1000 before the end of October 2019.

If Naleba is not able to pay the amount as ordered by the court, in default he will be imprisoned for six weeks.

The court had ordered Naleba in May this year to pay $300 per month effective from 1st August but had failed to pay the fine.

Fiji Sports council took Naleba to court over a count of non-payment of around $4000.
