A year ago Benito Masilevu made his debut for the Fiji sevens team in New Zealand.

Now, the wing-cum-hooker says he wants to erase his memories from last year, where Fiji played in the bowl competition for the first time in the World Sevens Series.

Masilevu’s coach Ben Ryan’s preferred hooker and the Lomaiviti club player is looking forward to his second ever Wellington 7s.

“Like this last year I was very nervous because it was my first time. But this week will be a totally different story. I was here as a wing last year and this year I am coming in as a hooker. It’s a different job altogether so I’m looking forward to making a big change and bring more impact to Fiji 7s.”

Masilevu and the Fijian side had a gym session this morning in the windy city and take on Wales in a scrimmage this afternoon.

Fiji plays New Zealand at 2.06pm on Friday followed by France at 5.35pm then Spain at 7.28pm.
