As Fijians observe Easter, leaders emphasized the deeper meaning of the sacred season: reflection, renewal, and unity.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka highlights inclusivity, compassion, and love exemplified by Jesus Christ, urging citizens to carry these values forward in their daily lives.

He extended condolences to the family of the late former president and to all who have lost loved ones, while reminding Fijians that even amid hardship, hope and light endure.

The message also tied into the ongoing work of the Fiji Truth and Reconciliation Commission, calling on all citizens to confront the past with honesty and choose forgiveness, healing, and unity.

Rabuka encouraged youths during this Easter season to dream boldly and work hard, while families were reminded that the values taught to children today will shape the leaders of tomorrow.

He called on all Fijians to renew their commitment to one another, prioritizing love over fear, hope over despair, and unity over division, to build a stronger, more compassionate nation.
