Alleged impersonator remanded

A 34-year-old man who is alleged to have impersonating Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu and solicited money through viber messages has been remanded in custody.

Hadyat Ali of Wainibuku, Nakasi, appeared at the Nasinu Magistrates Court today charged with one count of identity theft under the Cybercrime Act 2021.

He will reappear at the Nasinu Magistrates Court next Thursday for plea.
