A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE NORTHERN DIVISION, LAU
AND LOMAIVITI GROUPS AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, YASAWA AND MAMANUCA
GROUPS.

A HEAVY RAIN ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE NORTHERN HALF OF VITI
LEVU [GREATER NADI- LAUTOKA-BA AREA, INTERIOR BA, RA AND NAITASIRI].

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE LAND AREAS OF MACUATA,
NORTHERN BUA, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, LAU AND LOMAIVITI
GROUPS, YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUPS.

Situation: An active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and
rain over the northern and eastern parts of Fiji is expected to
affect the group for the next few days.

Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
Expect strong northerly winds with wind speeds of up to 45 km/hr over
land areas of Macuata, northern Bua, Taveuni and nearby smaller
islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Yasawa and Mamanuca groups.
Elsewhere, moderate to fresh north to northeast winds.
Rough seas.
Periods of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms over
Northern division, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Yasawa and Mamanuca
groups.
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over the
northern half of Viti Levu [greater Nadi-Lautoka-Ba area, Interior
Ba, Ra and Naitasiri provinces].
Elsewhere, occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms expected.
Showers becoming frequent and increasing to rain with squally
thunderstorms from later today.
Isolated thunderstorms and heavy falls expected especially in the
afternoon or evening.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.

Outlook for Sunday : Some showers over most places. Isolated
thunderstorms with heavy falls expected in the afternoon or evening.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms. Showers becoming
frequent an increasing to rain later today.
Outlook for Sunday : Some showers.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba :
Fine apart from afternoon, evening or overnight showers. Isolated
thunderstorms and heavy falls expected especially in the afternoon or
evening. Rain and thunderstorms developing from later today.
Outlook for Sunday : Showers especially in the afternoon or
evening.

Tavua/Rakiraki:
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
Outlook for Sunday: Showers especially in the afternoon or evening.

For Labasa :
Strong northerly winds with speeds of up to 45km/hr. Periods of rain,
heavy at times and squally thunderstorms.
Outlook for Sunday : Some showers.

For Savusavu : Periods of rain, heavy at times and squally
thunderstorms.
Outlook for Sunday : Some showers.

For Lau / Lomaiviti group :
Strong northerly winds with speeds of up to 45km/hr. Periods of rain,
heavy at times and squally thunderstorms.
Outlook for Sunday: Some showers.

For Kadavu:
Occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms. Showers becoming
frequent with rain developing later today.
Outlook for Sunday: Some showers.

For Rotuma : A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE LAND
AREAS AND WATERS OF ROTUMA.

Situation : A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain
continues to affect the island.

Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
Moderate to fresh northerly winds. Strong northerly winds with speeds
of up to 45km/hr developing from later today.
Moderate to rough seas. Seas becoming rough from later today.
Outlook for Sunday : Rain and thunderstorms continuing.
