Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 3:30pm on Wednesday the 9th of September 2026.

Situation: A weak trough of low pressure lies over the country.
Associated cloud and showers are expected to affect parts of Fiji
till later Thursday. Meanwhile an east to southeast wind flow
prevails over Fiji.

Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
Cloudy periods with some showers over Coral Coast, Serua-Namosi,
Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, southern Bua, Cakaudrove,
Cikobia, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti
groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers elsewhere.

Cloudy conditions with isolated showers expected to develop later
today over Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa and Mamanuca
groups, Viti Levu and southern Lau group and gradually spreading to
the rest of the group. Moderate east to southeast winds becoming
moderate to fresh northeast to southeast from later today.Moderate
seas becoming moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Friday : Fine apart from brief showers over Sigatoka,
Coral Coast, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra,
southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and
Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
Mainly fine elsewhere.
Cool at night.
Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.
Moderate to rough seas.
