Fiji recorded 506 new cases of COVID-19 and one death to report for the 24 hour period that ended at 8am yesterday.

The National seven-day average daily test positivity is increasing exponentially now tripling the five percent threshold of the World Health Organization.

A total of 6,806 individuals were screened and 1,928 swabbed at the stationary screening clinics in the last 24 hours.

Lockdowns are not part of the World Health Organization’s recommended public health and social measures.
