A family’s worst fears for their missing son have been confirmed.

17-year-old Muhammed Haziq Mohd-Tarmizi, a Malaysian national, had been unaccounted for since the Christchurch mosque he was praying in was attacked by a terrorist on Friday.

His family were praying and hoping for the best, but also preparing for the worst.

This morning, the police confirmed he was one of those killed.

He is the last of the 50 mosque shooting victims to be identified.

Muhammad Haziq was at the Masjid Al Noor mosque on Deans Ave with his mother, father and younger brother when a gunman opened fire.
