A tour vehicle and charter bus have collided in Seattle, Washington, leaving at least four people dead and several others critically injured.

TV footage showed a “Ride the Ducks” vehicle – amphibious vehicles used for tours in several US cities – smashed into side of the bus.

Two smaller vehicles were involved in the crash, as well.

Fifty people were evaluated at the scene of the crash, which happened about 1100 local time (1800 GMT).

Most of the injured were aboard the charter bus, officials said.

Local news station King5Seattle reports that the charter bus was filled with international university students from North Seattle College.

A witness told the news station that the duck boat signalled to move left when suddenly it lurched and the front left wheel came off, then clipping a sport utility vehicle and colliding with the bus, travelling in the other direction.
