World Series getting tougher: Ryan

December 12, 2015 3:03 am

Vodafone Fiji 7s coach, Ben Ryan says things will only get tougher as the World Sevens Series season progresses.

Following a successful outing in Dubai last weekend, Ryan believes it will be twice as hard to repeat their feat in the inaugural Cape Town 7s tournament in South Africa from tonight.

“This week with stomach viruses floating around the teams, some injuries from Dubai and also some opportunities for those guys to put their hands up again in leaving that selection of teams to the last minute until the very last minute will help us immeasurably for the second leg with such a big competition ahead of us. Some very strong teams looking like they are doing everything they can to knock us down a peg or two.”
