World Cup play-offs in 2014

The Flying Fijians will have to wait until June 2014 to find out if they will play at the next World Cup in England.

This has been confirmed by the International Rugby Board as the Oceania World Cup play-off match has been scheduled for the 2014 June Test window.

IRB Oceania General Manager William Glenwright has confirmed to FBC Sports that the Oceania play-offs will start in next season.

This will see the Oceania Cup take place between the likes of Papua New Guinea, Cook Islands, Niue and Vanuatu.

This will be played in the June Test window next year and the winner will battle Fiji in 2014 for a ticket to England.

Fiji has to go through the qualifying phase after finishing fourth in its pool at the 2011 World Cup.
